Driller Full Time

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Receive instructions for drilling parameters as well as other work procedures and ensure their correct application. Whenever deemed necessary, within the specified limits, change the drilling parameters to improve the drilling progress.

·         Check and set up the equipment necessary for the assigned shift, i.e., drill pipes and other tubular material, x-over, etc.

·         Operate the draw work during drilling activities and complex maneuvers.

·         Assist rig down/rig up operations by coordinating and controlling.

·         Ensure that all directives, whether verbal or written, are thoroughly understood and followed.

·         Utilize required protective equipment and exercise caution in all work.

·         Accountable for ensuring that the drill floor is always a safe place to work.

·         Conduct visual, and where possible functional, inspections of equipment both prior to use and at periodic intervals.

·         Perform manual labor by assembling and disassembling equipment.

·         Assist to set up/dismantle/move drill rigs and equipment.

·         Responsible for keeping accurate and complete records as required and detailed in the RMS.

·         Report any unforeseen or unusual events to the Manager or Operator’s representative as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

·         Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Driller

·         35 to 55 years old – Age limit

·         Other drilling related certificates.

·         Knowledge of drilling techniques, measuring depths, blowout prevention and safety procedures essential.
