Roles and Responsibilities:
· Project Design and Planning:
Develop and conceptualize architectural designs in response to client requirements and project objectives.
Create detailed plans, blueprints, and specifications for construction projects.
· Coordination with Stakeholders:
Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of design with project goals.
Present and discuss design concepts with clients to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments.
· Building Regulations Compliance:
Ensure designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws in Ireland.
Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
· Site Analysis and Evaluation:
Conduct site assessments to evaluate environmental and spatial constraints.
Consider factors such as topography, climate, and cultural context in design decisions.
· Construction Supervision:
Oversee the construction process to ensure that the design vision is accurately implemented.
Address any issues or changes that may arise during construction.
· Budget Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, considering materials, labor costs, and other project expenses.
Provide cost estimates and financial guidance to clients.
· Sustainability Integration:
Integrate sustainable and environmentally friendly design principles into architectural projects.
Explore energy-efficient technologies and materials.
· 3D Modeling and Visualization:
Utilize architectural software for 3D modeling and rendering to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
· Project Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Keep records of design changes and project progress.
· Client Communication:
Effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from a recognized institution.
· 5 years of practical experience in architectural design and project management.
· Proficient in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) and hand sketching.
· In-depth knowledge of Irish building codes, regulations, and planning laws.
· Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and project stakeholders.
· Keen attention to detail in both design and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
· Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and other professionals.
