Roles and Responsibilities:
· Supply Chain Management:
Oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
· Procurement and Vendor Management:
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships.
Ensure timely procurement of goods and services at optimal costs.
· Inventory Control:
Implement effective inventory management practices to optimize stock levels.
Monitor and track inventory turnover, aging, and obsolete stock.
· Distribution Planning:
Develop distribution strategies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
Optimize distribution routes and logistics to minimize costs.
· Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, including buyers, logistics coordinators, and warehouse staff.
Provide guidance, training, and support to the team.
· Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
Minimize stockouts and excess inventory through accurate forecasting.
· Quality Control:
Implement and monitor quality control measures in the supply chain to ensure products meet specified standards.
Address any quality issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
· Cost Management:
Manage and optimize costs associated with procurement, transportation, and distribution.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
· Reporting and Analysis:
Develop and maintain reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain operations.
Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
· 5 years’ experience in supply chain management or a similar role, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and distribution partners.
· Proven leadership and management capabilities to lead a team and drive results.
· Effective negotiation skills for vendor contracts and cost optimization.
· Familiarity with supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools.
· Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust supply chain strategies accordingly.
· Efficient time management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
